Xylitol is a white crystalline powder that has the same sweet taste as sucrose and can be readily dissolved in water. This naturally occurring sugar alcohol, unlike other sugars like as sucrose and fructose, does not promote tooth decay, has a low glycemic impact, and contains about one-third the amount of calories of regular sugars. It’s also a cleaner sweetener that can’t be beat in terms of nutrition.

The manuacturing process of Xylitol powder is a complex extraction process. It starts with finely cut wood which is then mixed with water. This wood-water mixture is purified and filtered to separate the xylose, also known as wood sugar, from the other substances. After that, the xylose can be extracted from the mixture and changed into a powder form - Xylitol Powder. It's important that all other substances are completely removed in this step to ensure that only pure Xylitol remains.
